How to deal with curve balls while you are busy reshaping your body

Yesterday was a prime example of a curve ball. The “shocking”incident I told you about in yesterday’s post literally threw my day upside down. It disrupted my daily healthy habits that I am busy teaching myself and as a result, I almost did not exercise.

I usually exercise in the morning and come afternoon or evening, my willpower to exercise is usually non-existent. Last night however, my wife and son finished their exercise regime and she looked at me and said, “do you want to do yours?” I was about to say no, but then paused and said, why not. You see the previous week my exercise was disrupted and she told me, “when you skip once, it’s easy to skip again”, and she was right. The fact that I did not skip yesterday meant that I exercised every day of the week, Monday to Friday. Tick.

Dinner last night was interesting, as we did not have any power yet to cook. So my lovely wife improvised. She used my barbie and cooked us some lovely pork, mushrooms and broccoli. Get some pork on your fork they said, and we did! 🙂

So, it is 5.29am right now. I already did my Tanita Body Scanner results at 5.12am. About 2 hours earlier than usual. As you know, I’m heading out for a round of golf today. It’s going to be another scorcher, but I’m ready with extra Herbalife hydrate and CR7 sportsdrink. Also, I’m about to go make myself an awesome Herbalife protein shake.

So without further ado, here’s what Tanita said this morning when I woke her up:

  • Weight 100.2 kg (same; over all down 2.3kg)
  • Body fat percentage 31.9% (down by 0.5%; over all down 2.6%)
  • Body fat mass 31.9 kg (down by 600g; over all down by 1.5kg)
  • Visceral fat 16 (same)
  • Body water percentage 47.8% (up by 0.2%; over all down by 0.6%)
  • Muscle mass 64.9 kg (up by 500g; over all down by 600g)
  • Metabolic age 68 (same)

I am falling behind on my weekly target of losing 2.19kg per week, but it feels like I am failing forward with my Herbalife reshaping challenge. The progress is there and hopefully by the start of week 3 my body will start burning fat more and more effectively.
