I lost 10 kilos of Body Fat in 6 weeks! | I lost 30 cm in Body Fat in 6 weeks!

As a man, I was never really into “measuring” my body parts, if you know what I mean. Like most men, I was more interested in looks. 🙂
It’s more like how do I look in the mirror? Are these pants to tight to wear? What does the numbers on the scale say when I look down at them? That kind of thing.
However, I’ve been told that one of the most amazing effects of losing weight and reshaping your body, is that as you burn the fat, centimeters will melt away all around your body. The way to track this, is to measure with a measuring tape!
This morning was measurement day. It’s been six weeks. Here are my results so far:
24 January 2023
- chest (over the nipples) 117 cm
- waist (over the navel) 116 cm
- hips (20cm down from my navel, legs together) 114 cm
- the roll (5cm below my navel) 116 cm
7 March 2023
- chest (over the nipples) 110 cm
- waist (over the navel) 106 cm
- hips (20cm down from my navel, legs together) 110 cm
- the roll (5cm below my navel) 107 cm
So far I lost 7 cm around my chest, 10 cm around my waist, 4 cm around my hips and 9 cm around they roll. So I lost a total of 30cm at these four measurement spots. That’s the length of a ruler! In fat! Gone!
For those who do not know, the roll is that “tube” or extra roll of fat some people have that sits about 5 cm below your navel, affectionately referred to as “the love handles”.
Speaking of love. My wife and I are celebrating 26 years of marriage today! She’s amazing. In 26 years of marriage she has never been wrong about anything. After all, she picked me! 😀
Here are my Tanita Body Scanner results of this morning, as at 8h16:
- Weight 96.1 kg (down 400g from yesterday; over all down 6.4kg)
- Body fat percentage 26.3% (down 1% from yesterday; over all down 7.5%)
- Body fat mass 25.3 kg (down by 1kg from yesterday; over all down by 10kg)
- Visceral fat 13 (same as yesterday; overall 3 down)
- Body water percentage 50.7% (up 0.6% from yesterday; over all up by 1.8%)
- Muscle mass 67.3kg (up by 600g from yesterday; over all up by 1.8 kg)
- Metabolic age 57(down 4 yrs from yesterday; overall down 11 yrs)
Do note however that although I lost 10kg in body fat, I only lost 6.4 in body weight. This is a result of the body reshaping. As you can see for example, my muscle mass is up by 1.8kg. The idea is to burn fat and build muscle.
