You must know the truth about advertising online, before you start your online business.

If you don’t know this truth, you are bound to disillusioned at some point.

Whether you start your online business from scratch, building it yourself like I did the EZHealthBiz platform for my team in my niche, or whether you join a ready-made or pre-build platform like the empower network platform, you absolutely have to know the truth about advertising online. It will make you or break you.

Once your online funnel system is in place, you have one job and one job only (presuming that all the elements of your system are converting at an optimum level – joining a system like empower network, takes care of this worry for you), and that job is advertising and promoting your landing pages or lead capture pages in order to build your lists. Nothing else is more important than this. This determines your success or failure.

The secret to advertising online – MASSIVE ACTION

Now you have heard this probably a thousand times over, take massive action, take massive action, take massive action…..BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

What does it mean to take massive action with advertising online?

Does it mean that I have to spend thousands of dollars blindly advertising my lead capture pages everywhere? No. Although that would get you some results. But that is more like a shot gun, hit and miss approach.

You want to get to the bottom line….you want to get to the people who are interested in what you have. You want to take a sniper rifle and sharp shoot, rather than take a shot gun approach. (There is so by the way an amazing training by Rob Fore on this topic in the 15K Formula. He is a master of this technique.)

The crux of effective advertising online is this:

Test small and then scale up like crazy.

What does this mean in advertising online?

Place small inexpensive advertisements and track your results. How many views did your landing page get from this advertisement. How many of the views opted in to your landing page by leaving their email address so that you can provide them with value when you follow up on them, how many of them took the final step of buying from you or joining your program?

Once you have a tested advertisement that produces results all the way through, until the final step of buying or joining you, then and only then, do you scale up.

Once you find such a converting advertisement or promotion tactic, you scale up with all your might! As a matter of fact, you can then be as bold and calculate your projections with much more accuracy.

Once you know what percentage of viewers to your landing page or offer buy from you or join you, and you know how much it had cost you to get that many views, you can budget your up scaling with more precision.

Now you can put your hard earned cash down on that advertisement with more confidence and rake in as many of those qualified leads and sales as you want.

WARNING: Advertising online is a science. It need not be this online maize that the majority of online marketers find themselves in. (I am going out on a limb here, but if I have to make an educated guess, it would be this: A very large junk of money spend on the Internet at the moment, is for something known as “getting leads”. For those who know how to get leads, it’s a feeding frenzy, as they prey on the uneducated, selling them truckloads of leads, which are not necessarily target specific, and which may have been resold a hundred times over in the past. They are thus highly unresponsive! Bottom line: You can waste hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, trying to find a credible lead source. (Yes, there are some good ones out there.)

Advertising Online For Free by Creating Compelling Content

When you are advertising online, you will soon discover that your best leads, are the ones you attracted to you yourself. You do that by creating valuable and compelling original content, either in the form of videos, audios or in writing (via blogs and articles).

This is where Empower Network is so powerful. It is an authority site, which means they already get truckloads of traffic to their website. If you therefore sign up for the $25 per month blogging platform, and you start putting your content out, you will automatically receive more traffic (potential leads) to your page than if you started a blog of your own. (I know, I had to work really hard to build EZHealthBiz up to get authority. Not near as good as Empower, that is why I blog very actively on Empower Network in advertising online.

The next step in advertising online by creating compelling content, is to target specific keywords that are searched most by online shoppers in your niche. Learn to then optimize your content for the search engines to find it. That alone will get you lots of free traffic. If you want to get even more traffic and get on the search engines first page, you need to do some serious promotion of your page. Promote it on all the social media sites and give the viewers a reason to interact with your post. The must share it, like it, comment on it and refer back to it from their blogs and articles. The more they do this, the more “link juice” your page will get and the higher the search engines will rank it for you.

Here is a blog post / article I wrote on the 18th of September 2012. It has consistently ranked on the first two pages of Google ever since for the keywords: join herbalife online. The title is, “How to join Herbalife online in 5-10 minutes”. (If you read some of my other posts you will see that I have an emotional bond with Herbalife which I will have for life. The products changed/saved my life. For that I will be forever grateful.)

You will notice that I have put a “link” to that article in the above paragraph. This means just another back link to that article, which will help it to remain in the top 10 – 20. The aim is obviously to be in the top 10, that is on the first page of Google, as very few Internet searchers ever go on to the second page etc.

Advertising online need not cost you any money, as you could see from the above strategy. However, that strategy takes a bit of time. You must put out at least 100 pieces of compelling original content for it to start generating leads for you. It is however worth every bit of hard work.

Advertising online does not need to cost you an arm, a leg, or your online career. You just need to be smart about it.

You can also make use of things like craigslist and other free sources. Personally I prefer to create original compelling content, providing you, the viewer or reader, with as much value as I possibly can.

Remember: Your Speed of Implementation of what you have learned here is critical.
