Diet pills for weight loss
Do you think that diet pills for weight loss is a viable solution to the world’s obesity problem?
I was shocked at the ignorance of the main stream media this morning, claiming that a new “diet pill” might solve the obesity problem around the world.
As a matter of fact, it somewhat angered me. Why? Because they are using their platform to take advantage of gullible people and try to sell a quick fix solution to an endemic effect, without addressing the root of the problem.
As a matter of further fact, this is exactly why the company Herbalife got started in the first place. The founder of Herbalife, Mark Hughes, lost his mother at a very young age due to an overdose of, you guessed it, prescription diet pills! Mark vowed to find a safe and effective way for people to lose weight and live healthy.
Herbalife is the complete answer. Why? Because it addresses the root of the problem.
Modern medicine focus on curative solutions. How can we cure your symptoms? Instead of, how can we cure the underlying cause or illness in your body that causes these symptoms? Or better yet, how can we prevent that you will ever suffer from these symptoms?
To live healthy, human beings need complete and effective daily nutrition, coupled with healthy habits like daily exercise, drinking water, breathing fresh air and sleep.
If there was a magic pill that I could drink that prevents the excess food and drink I consume to be stored as fat, what will that do for my overall health? Will my body automatically and magically get all the nutrients it needs on a daily basis? Will my muscles all of a sudden be built out thin air? Can I continue to feed my body junk food and booze and expect a healthy, energetic lifestyle? It’s absurd, right?
It is common knowledge that our bodies suffer the consequences of our decisions. It’s too easy to look into the mirror and blame society, blame the poor food quality, blame the fast food industry, blame the sedentary lifestyles of modern society, blame genetics, blame our parents, blame the government, and who knows who and what else you have on your own personal blame list. You and I both know there is only one person that needs to be on that list.
Fixing the dietary and health mistakes of your past
One of the things I have discovered so far in this sixty day body reshaping challenge using Herbalife and exercise, is that it takes time to fix the errors of my past. Sure, by now I wanted to have been much closer to my “dream” results, to where I think I should be.
As you know, I started on 102.5 kg body weight, and my goal is to get to 85 kg in body weight in sixty days. I’m already on day 42, and I’m not even halfway to my goal weight. However, looking holistically at my results to date, I realise that body weight is only one component. The more important goal is to lose all the excess fat. To build more muscle. To restore my body’s water balance. To create long lasting healthy habits that will lead to a more healthy lifestyle long after my concentrated effort to right the wrongs of my past bad habits.
Here are this morning’s Tanita results:
- Weight 95.7 kg (down 1.2kg from yesterday; over all down 6.8kg)
- Body fat percentage 27.4% (up 0.7% from yesterday; over all down 6.4%)
- Body fat mass 26.2 kg (up by 300g from yesterday; over all down by 9.1kg)
- Visceral fat 13 (same as yesterday; overall 3 down)
- Body water percentage 50.5% (down 0.5% from yesterday; over all up by 1.6%)
- Muscle mass 66.1kg (down by 1.4kg from yesterday; over all up by 0.6 kg)
- Metabolic age 61 (3 years up from yesterday; overall down 7 yrs)
I’m thinking the last two days at the conference I did not meet my body’s protein needs. Consequently my body broke down some of the muscle tissue to get the amino acids it required.
Regular high quality protein intakes during the day seems to be key.
Take care. Make healthy choices.
