The Mark Hughes Herbalife legacy lives on after 33 years. Yesterday, 1 February 2013, was Herbalife’s 33rd birthday. As a proud Herbalife distributor I celebrated with thousands of Herbalife lovers all around the world.

My journey with Herbalife started in 1996 when I first just started on the products to lose a bit of weight. In 6 months I lost 36 kilograms and I am happy to report, that today, almost 17 years since, I am still a product of the product. All thanks to the Mark Hughes Herbalife dream to find a safe and effective way for people to lose weight and just maintain healthy living. (Compulsory legal disclaimer: These results are not typical. On 1 February 1980 Mark Hughes launched Herbalife International, virtually out of the boot of his car.

But yesterday, Herbalife distributors all around the world celebrated once more, and they had reason to. The past year saw greedy investors trying to drive the Herbalife stock price down just to make a quick buck. They tried to do that by shorting the Herbalife stock. What that means is, they basically placed a bet that the Herbalife stock price will go down. Then they held a press conference and tried to besmear Herbalife’s good name in an attempt to get investors to panic, sell their stock and thereby drive the stock price down.

If Mark Hughes Herbalie founder was still alive, he would have been proud to see how Herbalife distributors and customers all around the world rallied to come to Herbalife’s defence. Even someone like Tim Sales, spoke out publicly to defend Herbalife.
